ISO-Management Systems Awareness Programme on Thursday 22nd June, 2017

As part of our commitment to scale up the capacity of members for the ‘Local Content’ and the ‘One District One Factory’ objective, the Association of Ghana Industries partnered Syscon Consulting Limited and TÜV Intercert SAAR GmbH, to provide ISO/OHSAS-Management Systems Awareness Programme.

‘One District One Factory’ Vision can work to transform Ghana’s economy with the potential to move from being import-reliant to become export-driven. To realize this goal, ‘Made in Ghana’ products and services need to be globally competitive and essentially become associated with internationally recognized standards of performance.

Implementation of management systems based on ISO standards, promotes adoption of a Risk based thinking and Process approach, that provides a sound basis for sustainability and continual improvement. ISO 9001/ 14001/ 22000/ OHSAS 18001 standards provide guidelines for establishing respective management systems for Quality, Environmental and Food safety OH& Safety management systems respectively.

Participating companies were Ghatty Foods, Amalgamated Foods Limited, Titlwayh Ventures, Adonko Limited, Voltic Ghana Limited, Total Water and Waste Management, VALCO, Jokumahs Limited, Wentech, NEC Bio Engineering Ghana Limited, Finnexx Energy Ghana Ltd., Edtex Limited, Promasidor Limited, Alkaboat, Nectar Fruit Industries, GN Electronics, Cyndex, Shippartner WAS. Ltd.

Mrs. BHAGWAT, the CEO for Syscon Consulting Limited was the facilitator, and has dedicated 23 years in developing human resources in Ghana, by making ‘ISO’ a reality for many companies of national and international repute. She is also an executive member of AGI, Greater Accra.
