Ghana Industrial Summit and Exhibition Concludes on a High Note

The third and final day of the Ghana Industrial Summit and Exhibition (GISE) was a resounding success, hosting a plethora of informative sessions and networking opportunities at the Accra International Conference Centre.

VRA Launches New Value Added Service

The day kicked off with Ing. Edward Ekow Obeng-Kenzo, Deputy Chief Executive for Engineering and Operations at VRA, delivering a welcome address. He expressed gratitude to the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) for organizing the forum and his delight in VRA’s partnership with AGI. The session was used to launch VRA’s new Value Added Service, which aims to enhance customer experience.

Technical Discussions*

The second session delved into two crucial topics:

1. Enhancing Ghana’s Power Sector Value Chain: Solutions for Reliable, Affordable, and Clean Energy from Generation to Distribution, led by Dr. Charles Gyamfi Ofori, Policy Lead, Climate Change and Energy.
2. Boosting Industrial Growth and Strengthening Value Chains through Investing in Renewable Energy, led by Ms. Baerbel Fryer, Chief Technical Officer, AGI Energy Service Centre.

A panel discussion followed, providing valuable insights and sparking meaningful conversations.

Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition

The third session featured the Entrepreneurship Pitch competition, where five innovative companies pitched their ideas for digital solutions for food security. The winners were:
1. Vinolia Wealth Enterprise (1st place)
2. Wobil (2nd place)
3. Ecovon (3rd place)
4. Aquamet Technologies (4th place)
5. Eze Ego Company (5th place)
Closing Remarks

AGI CEO, Mr. Seth Twum-Akwaboah thanked participants and expressed hopes for an even better summit next year. GISE 2024 has once again demonstrated its commitment to promoting Ghana’s industrialization agenda, fostering collaboration, and driving sustainable growth.
