These Guidelines, save as otherwise provided in the Regulations of AGI, shall govern the elections of National Officers,  Regional and Sector Executive Officers of the Association of Ghana Industries
1.0     Nominations
1.1     Nomination Forms for the various positions to be contested shall be completed and filed with the National Directorate at least 21 days before the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the case of National Executives.
1.2     In the case of the Regional Executive Officers, nominations shall be filed with the National Directorate at least 14 days before the respective Regional Annual General Meeting (RAGM).
1.3     Positions to be contested are as follows:
          A.  National Executives
                   i.  President
                   ii. Vice President (LS)
                   iii. Vice President (SMEs)
                   iv. National Treasurer
                   iv. 2 (Two) Elected Members
          BRegional Executives
                   i.  Chairman
                   ii.  Vice Chairman
                   iii. Treasurer
                   iv. 2 (Two) Elected Members
          C. Eligibility
Only members in good standing at the time of Voting are eligible to Vote and Nominated as candidates for the election.  For purposes of clarity, a member in good standing is interpreted as follows:
i.  A member who wishes to pay by Cheque for the purpose of Voting must do so two clear weeks and must be fully cleared before Voting Day.
ii. A member NOT in good standing cannot be nominated for the elections at the time of filing.    
2.0     Voting
2.1     Voting shall be as prescribed in the Regulations of AGI, except that:
In the case of Elected Executive Members at the National and Regional Elections, the first two candidates polling the highest votes will be declared elected.
