As part of the effort to boost the service capability of the AGI Energy Service Centre (AGI – ESC), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the “Sustainable Energy for Climate” project implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ Ghana) has donated a set of testing and measurement equipment to the Centre.

The equipment includes an Electronic Combustion Analyzer, Ultrasonic Flowmeter, Ultrasonic Leak Detector for Compressed Air and Steam, Pressure Gauges and Electrical/Insulating Gloves. Other equipment includes Arc flash face shields, IV Curve Tracers, a Shading analysis kit, a handheld infrared camera, and a drone with a thermal camera.

These devices will enable the ESC to provide thorough assessments of energy consumption and identify potential areas for optimization across various industrial processes, and on solar installations.

In addition to these testing and measurement equipment, they also donated a set of office furniture and other office equipment to AGI to facilitate meetings at the Centre.

Receiving the items, the CEO of AGI, Mr. Seth Twum-Akwaboah, thanked the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and GIZ Ghana for the items and praised them for their commitment to sustainable development and innovation in Ghana.

The CEO assured the GIZ delegation that the equipment would be put to the needed use to benefit commercial and industrial companies toward their energy efficiency and renewable energy drive.
