Background
The importance of renewable energy usage in businesses worldwide is well-known and documented. However, its adoption still remains low in Ghana due to uncertainty about the capability of local renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) solution suppliers, avoidance of first-mover risks and lack of adequate financing. With the country’s objective to achieve 10% renewable energy component in the national energy mix by 2030, there is the need to make renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions readily available and accessible to industrial and domestic users.

The Challenge of International Competitiveness
The Investment Promotion and Business Linkages Project is a component of the Ghana Employment and Social Protection (GESP) Programme funded by the European Union and designed for an implementation period of five years.

The AGI-WIB is a group under the umbrella of AGI that gives Women Businesses under its membership, a robust network committed to driving change, providing support and education on policies as well as enhancing the contribution of women to economic development.
