AGI President Appointed to 2024 IEA Presidential Debates Committee

The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) has inaugurated the 2024 Presidential Debates Committee, with Dr. Humphrey Kwesi Ayim Darke, President of the Association of Ghana Industries, as a distinguished member.

The Committee, launched on July 22, 2024, aims to ensure credible debates and encounters leading up to the 2024 elections. Notable members include:

– Her Ladyship Ms Sophia A. B. Akkuffo (Chairperson), Former Chief Justice and IEA Distinguished Fellow
– Most Rev. Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo (Alternate Chair), Presiding Bishop, The Methodist Church of Ghana
– Dr Abubakar Mohammed Marzuq Azindoo, Personal Assistant to the National Chief Imam
– Dr. Humphrey Kwesi Ayim Darke, President of Association of Ghana Industries
– Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi, Bishop of the Sunyani Diocese and President of the Ghana Catholic Bishops Conference
– Mr. Salem Kifah Kalmoni, Managing Director, Japan Motors, and Executive Director, Kalmoni Group of Companies
– Dr. Kwabena Nyarko Otoo, Director of Research and Policy, Trades Union Congress
– Rev. Dr Lawrence Tetteh, Founding President, Worldwide Miracle Outreach and Lawrence Tetteh Ministries
– Rt. Rev. Dr. Daniel Sylvanus Mensah Torto, Diocesan Bishop, Anglican Diocese of Accra
