AGI President as Key Guest Speaker at the IGP’s Election Task Force Meeting with the Business Community

The Inspector General of Police met with the business community on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the Police Headquarters of Accra to discuss election security arrangements for the December 7 national election.

The historic programme’s purpose is to ensure robust measures are in place to guarantee peace and stability before, during and after the polls.

In his address to the business community, Dr.George Akuffo-Dampare reiterated his ambition to make the 2024 elections one of the most secure in Ghana’s history, setting an example for democracy in the sub-region and across Africa IGP meets the business community to discuss security arrangements.

Dr. Humphrey Ayim Darke who spoke on behalf of the business community expressed his appreciation for the move to include the private sector in the strategy for planning the security arrangement for the upcoming election
