AGI-Women In Business Pays Courtesy Call on AGI President

The President of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Pharm. Kofi Nsiah-Poku, together with the Vice President for SME, Mr. Dela Gadzanku; CEO of AGI, Mr. Seth Twum-Akwaboah; hosted the leadership of the AGI Women in Business (AGI-WIB) at the AGI National Secretariat.

The AGI-WIB delegation was led by their Chairperson, Dr. Mrs. Grace Amey-Obeng, and included the Vice-President, Dr. Mrs. Maureen Erekua Odoi, and the Media and Communications Head, Ms. Ama Ablorde.

The AGI-WIB team formally welcomed the President and shared their key focus areas for the year, including improving access to affordable finance, expanding market access for women-led businesses, strengthening membership and youth engagement, and growing their Seed Fund to support operations and women entrepreneurs.

In his remarks, Pharm. Nsiah-Poku commended the women for their commitment and emphasized the importance of targeted training in record-keeping, costing, packaging, productivity, and financial discipline to enable women and micro enterprises to scale sustainably. He also highlighted the need to prepare members to become loan-ready, strengthen cooperative models, improve market access, and adopt innovative strategies to grow AGI’s membership base and resource mobilization.
