HBCU Africa Education Coalition Visits the AGI National Secretariat

The President of AGI, Pharm. Kofi Nsiah-Poku, CEO of AGI Mr. Seth Twum-Akwaboah, Vice President for SME of AGI, Mr. Dela Gadzanku, AGI Women-in-Business (AGI-WIB) Chair, and Dr. Mrs. Grace Amey-Obeng, warmly hosted a delegation from the HBCU Africa Education Coalition (HAEC) at the AGI National Secretariat.

The delegation, led by Executive Director Professor Beverly Booker Ammah, included Community Facilitator Mrs. Gayna Malcolm Packnett, Executive Program Manager Mr. Cecil Sampson, Program/Media Co-Lead Mr. Shepherd Amenyedzi, CEO of Global Leadership Academy Dr. Tamika Michelle Evans, Principal of GLA West Ms. Shoshana Tyler Saunderson, Principal of GLA Southwest Dr. Zenobia Story, and 20 of their scholars.

During the visit, AGI shared insights into its over 60-year history as the umbrella body for industries in Ghana, spanning manufacturing, services, ICT, banking, insurance, and more. The students were allowed to ask questions and were educated on AGI’s work in policy advocacy, business development services, and support for women and youth in business.

The delegation expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and the opportunity for scholars to connect with Ghana’s industrial landscape, gain exposure, and explore entrepreneurial possibilities. The President of AGI also encouraged future visits to include live factory tours, providing the students with a hands-on experience of Ghana’s vibrant industries.
