The Association of Ghana Industries, led by Kofi Nsiah-Poku, met with the Minority Caucus of Parliament, led by Alexander Afenyo-Markin, to discuss pressing issues affecting businesses.
The meeting focused on taxation, rising fuel and energy costs, and infrastructure challenges. AGI raised concerns over recent VAT reforms, high fuel levies, increasing electricity tariffs, and poor road and logistics systems impacting productivity.
The Minority Caucus emphasized the need for real industry insights to shape policies, improve parliamentary oversight, and develop a responsive manifesto.
Both sides agreed on the importance of continuous engagement to ensure practical, inclusive policies that support industrial growth and economic transformation in Ghana
