Kasapreko PLC has officially listed on the main market of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), marking a major milestone in the growth of one of Ghana’s most successful indigenous manufacturing companies and reinforcing the role of Ghanaian enterprises in driving economic transformation.
The listing ceremony brought together government officials, regulators, financial institutions, industry leaders, investors, and business executives to celebrate the achievement.
Addressing the gathering on behalf of Ghana’s industrial community, the Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Mr. Seth Twum-Akwaboah, described the listing as a defining chapter in the story of Ghanaian enterprise. He noted that Kasapreko’s successful IPO demonstrates what is possible when vision, discipline, and strong corporate governance come together. He further emphasized that manufacturing remains a key engine of Ghana’s economy and encouraged more Ghanaian businesses to consider the capital market as a pathway to long-term growth and sustainability.
Invited guests at the ceremony commended Kasapreko’s remarkable journey from a modest local business established over three decades ago to a globally recognized beverage manufacturer exporting to markets across Africa and beyond. Speakers highlighted the company’s resilience, innovation, and commitment to excellence as key drivers of its success.
Kasapreko’s Initial Public Offering (IPO), which sought to raise GHS 700 million to support expansion and increased production capacity, attracted overwhelming investor interest and was significantly oversubscribed. The strong response was hailed as a clear indication of investor confidence in both Kasapreko and Ghana’s capital markets.
Speaking on behalf of government, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, described the listing as a testament to the strength and potential of Ghanaian-owned businesses. She reaffirmed government’s commitment to supporting local industries and creating an enabling environment for businesses to grow, scale, and compete globally.
The event concluded with congratulations to the Founder and Group Chairman, Dr. Kwabena Adjei, the Board, Management, Staff, and shareholders of Kasapreko PLC for achieving this historic milestone and setting a shining example for Ghanaian enterprises.
