The Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), represented by Mr. Isaac Kofi Batini, Chief Technical Officer of the AGI Energy Service Centre, participated in the Ghana National Climate & ESG Policy Summit 2026, held on 27th October at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra.
Under the theme “Decoding Policy and Regulation for the Next Economy,” the summit brought together key stakeholders to discuss climate policy, energy efficiency, green investment, ESG integration and sustainable development.
The summit provided an important opportunity for stakeholders to explore how regulatory frameworks can be better aligned with policy objectives and how these frameworks interact with the private sector and the productive sectors of the economy.
Discussions emphasized the need for clear and predictable regulations, stronger institutional coordination, effective communication of policy requirements and sustained engagement between regulators and regulated institutions. These measures are essential to creating an enabling environment for investment, promoting compliance and ensuring that climate commitments translate into practical outcomes for businesses, communities and the wider economy.
A vital outcome was the signing of the national communiqué reaffirming the need for collective action, effective climate policies and stronger collaboration to bridge the gap between policy formulation and implementation.
AGI’s participation reinforces its commitment to energy efficiency, sustainable industrial practices and economic competitiveness, supporting efforts to build a greener and more resilient Ghana.
