The Executive Council of the Ashanti, Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regional Branch of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) paid a courtesy call on the newly appointed Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Dr. Frank Amoakohene, on February 24, 2025.
Led by the Regional Chairman of AGI, Mr. Kwasi Nyamekye, the delegation’s visit aimed to officially welcome Hon. Dr. Amoakohene to his new role and to express AGI’s support for his leadership. Mr. Nyamekye, speaking on behalf of the council, assured the Minister of AGI’s commitment to working together to foster industrial growth in the region.
Hon. Dr. Amoakohene, in his response, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and support from AGI. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between government and industry stakeholders to drive sustainable development and create job opportunities within the Ashanti region. The Minister also assured the AGI executives that he would be open to suggestions and partnership opportunities that would benefit the regional industrial landscape.
The visit underscores the importance of continued cooperation between government and private sector organizations in promoting economic growth and industrialization in the Ashanti region.
