The Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Seth Twum-Akwaboah, accompanied by the Senior Manager of the Research and Policy Department, Mr. Theophilus Arthur-Mensah, paid a visit to NutriFoods Ghana Ltd, an AGI member company, where they met with the Managing Director, Mr. Jay Anjaria, and toured the company’s production facility.

During the engagement, Mr. Anjaria shared the company’s growth journey since 2010, highlighting its expansion into biscuits, snacks, tomato products, and seasoning. He also discussed the company’s commitment to local product development, innovation, job creation, and the production of quality products tailored to the Ghanaian market, with exports to other markets.

The discussions also focused on the challenges confronting manufacturers, particularly rising energy costs and the need for a more supportive business environment. NutriFoods Ghana Ltd highlighted its investment in solar energy, which currently contributes approximately 23% of the power used across its factories, as part of its efforts to improve operational efficiency and manage energy costs.

Mr. Twum-Akwaboah reaffirmed AGI’s commitment to supporting member companies through policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and initiatives that promote industrial growth, competitiveness, and access to regional and continental markets.

The visit underscores AGI’s commitment to maintaining close engagement with its members, understanding their operational challenges, and advocating policies that enable Ghanaian industries to expand, create jobs, increase local production, and strengthen the country’s industrial base.
