FanMilk Ghana Engages AGI on Local Value Chains, Industrial Development, and Growth

The Managing Director of FanMilk Ghana Limited, Mr. Lionel Parent, along with his team – Sandra Adu-Gyamfi, General Counsel and Company Secretary, and Kenneth Aidam, Communications Manager for West Africa – paid a courtesy call to the President of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Dr. Humphrey Ayim Darke, to discuss potential collaboration for strengthening local value chains and fostering industrial growth.

The meeting, held at the AGI Conference Room, was also attended by key AGI officials, including the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Seth Twum-Akwaboah; Director of Research and Policy, Mr. John Defor; and Senior Manager of Research and Policy, Mr. Theophilus Atta Mensah.

At the heart of the discussions was the goal to enhance local sourcing, promote employment, and bolster the competitiveness of Ghanaian industries. FanMilk Ghana expressed its commitment to increasing the integration of local businesses into its supply chain, emphasizing the importance of sourcing raw materials and services from within the country to support economic sustainability.

Both parties agreed on the need for stronger collaboration between industry leaders and policy institutions to develop frameworks that will accelerate industrial growth. They also highlighted the importance of capacity-building initiatives, product innovation, and sustainable practices that align with Ghana’s broader economic transformation agenda.

FanMilk Ghana reaffirmed its dedication to contributing to job creation, increasing value addition to local resources, and promoting the global recognition of Made-in-Ghana products. By engaging with AGI, FanMilk Ghana aims to play an active role in transforming the industrial landscape and driving long-term economic development.

The AGI leadership also expressed its commitment to supporting businesses like FanMilk Ghana, assisting them in navigating regulatory challenges, and ensuring an environment conducive to growth.
