The President of AGI, Dr Kwesi H. Ayim Darke chaired the National Policy Forum on Special Economic Zones held at the Kempinski Hotel today 7 June, 2024.
The programme which was organised by the University of Ghana in collaboration with the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), KEL Institute for the World Economy (IfW) Germany, Riksbankens Junileumsfond and Ghana Feezones Authority (GFZA) assembled over a hundred participants from the private sector, academia and policymakers.
Other Guest speakers included H. E. Mike Oquaye Esq. Jnr., the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Freezonnes Authority and Mrs. Kosi Yankey-Ayeh, CEO of Ghana Enterprise Agency.
The forum presented research conducted by ISSER and the Guest speakers discussed the findings of and the impact of Special Economic Zones on Ghana’s industrial development.
