The President of AGI, Pharm. Kofi Nsiah-Poku, hosted the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Ghana, H.E. Pavel Bílek, at the AGI National Secretariat yesterday 5th February, 2026.
The visit, initiated by the Ambassador, was to call on the new AGI President and to explore avenues for strengthening collaboration between AGI and the Czech Embassy.
Discussions focused on deepening trade and industrial cooperation, particularly in healthcare infrastructure, water treatment, agro-processing, and transport systems. The Czech delegation highlighted opportunities for Ghanaian industries to leverage Czech technology in food processing, irrigation, farming equipment and technology, water treatment plants, and value addition to agricultural waste for energy production.
H.E. Pavel Bílek reaffirmed the Czech Republic’s commitment to AGI as a long-standing partner and expressed readiness to support Ghana’s industrialisation agenda through technology transfer and business linkages.
Ms Baeta Matusiková, the Head of Trade and Economy at the Embassy, also invited AGI leadership to visit the Czech House Showroom in Accra to explore agro-processing and industrial equipment tailored to Ghana’s needs.
Pharm. Nsiah-Poku emphasised AGI’s commitment to promoting community-level food processing, reducing post-harvest losses, supporting farmers with the right technology, and aligning with the government’s food security and 24-hour economy agenda.
The meeting reaffirmed both parties’ resolve to translate discussions into concrete partnerships that will enhance industrial growth and value chain development in Ghana.
