AGI President Hosts UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce to Deepen Trade and Investment Collaboration

The President of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Pharm. Kofi Nsiah-Poku, the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Seth Twum-Akwaboah hosted the Executive Director of the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce (UKGCC), Madam Adjoba Kyiamah, and her delegation at the AGI Head Office in Accra. I

The engagement formed part of AGI’s continuous efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships that support Ghana’s industrialisation agenda and improve market access for local businesses. Discussions centred on enhancing trade facilitation between Ghana and the United Kingdom, promoting investment flows, business matchmaking, and developing joint programmes that build the capacity of AGI members to compete effectively in both markets.

Both institutions also explored opportunities for collaboration across key sectors including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, agribusiness, energy, ICT, and services. Emphasis was placed on creating platforms for member networking, policy advocacy, and knowledge exchange to address regulatory, financing, and market-entry challenges faced by businesses.

AGI reiterated its commitment to working closely with the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce to deliver practical value to members, strengthen private sector cooperation, and contribute to sustainable industrial development and economic growth in Ghana.

The UKGCC delegation included Mr. Joshua Okai, Office Manager; Ms. Shirgade Laryea, Senior Trade Services Manager; and Ms. Immaculata King, Trade Services Manager.

Also present was Ms. Francesca Alokpa, PA to the President and CEO of AGI
